25-Apr-08 Malmo Concert Review

There's a review of the show, in Swedish, at Expressen.

Per H. had this review:

Ok night, with a dull setlist. Van sang well, but didn't take the songs to interesting places.
It was one of those nights when he had the autopilot turned on. "Help me" and "Behind the ritual" stood out. And hearing "Healing" even if it's not in full bloom is always nice. The best thing was that he didn't do either BEG nor "Gloria". And the introduction to "Behind the ritual":

"I just wanna say in case you don't know that this song is about me when I
was young in the 60's and Johnny Ray was king.
"

Setlist:
This love of mine
Magic Time
Have I Told You
Stranded
Bright Side Of the Road
Song of Home
Keep It Simple
That's Entrainment

Precious Time
Playhouse
I Can't Stop Loving You
Real Real Gone > You Send Me
End Of The Land

Anyone else notice the gold plated microphone and "VM" logo on the mike stand depicted in the photo from this gig? For someone as consciously un-self-counscious as Van, this seems interesting.
