It's just that for me, 2000 to 2009 is definitley not a great decade from the Belfast genious.
Probably because three of the releases were in the country/skiffle genres. They were well done, whatever your tastes may be.
I'd maintain that Down the Road, What's Wrong with this Picture and Magic Time is as good a three album run as he's had since Avalon Sunset, Enlightenment and Hymns to the Silence.
Very solid outings in my book, all of them.
There will be polls for 70s, 80s & 90s to come.
I can't believe Beautiful Vision came so low on the vote! Mind you it's inspired me to listen Common One. Interesting vote, bring on the other decades!
Hmmmmm. Very interesting poll. A Sense of Wonder and Inarticulate Speech of the Heart are the 2 Van albums from any decade that I listen to the most! (Along with Astral Weeks of course)
