Van Morrison Delights Aberdeen Audience
Singing star returns to Granite City

MUSICAL maverick Van Morrison returned to Aberdeen for the first time in five years and gave a mesmerising performance.

Playing a 90-minute set accompanied with a full jazz band, Van Morrison wowed the packed audience at the Aberdeen Music Hall.

The Belfast-born star played a slick mix of famous songs, including Brown Eyed Girl, Here Comes the Night and In The Garden.

And the star showcased his talent not just as a singer, but as a musician, joining his band on saxophone, harmonica and guitar.

Playing a set that flowed from one classic song to another, the audience clapped along to the mix of blues, jazz and funk.

The blues band playing alongside Van Morrison was hugely talented, with each musician getting a chance to shine playing solo.

While the singer didn’t interact too much between songs with the audience, he kept the crowd entertained and tapping their feet along with his songs.

Van Morrison may not have been in Aberdeen for five years, but he returned with a big band and a big bang to the Granite City.
