Van was absolutely sensational tonight in Brighton, UK. My memory might be playing tricks on me but I think that might be the best I’ve heard his voice: the pandemic rested his voice and his enthusiasm (and got him fired up!). Superb versions of “I’m Carrying a Torch” “Cleaning Windows”, and "Real Real Gone". Had the crowd in ecstasy and jubilation several times: "Days Like This" popular and the song from Belfast, "Down to Joy", was very good new material. Band on great form. I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing out loud at times at how enjoyable it all was. Thanks Van. Still very much got it.
